Crocker Amazon, formerly part of railroad magnate Charles Crocker's estate, is largely residential and benefits greatly from some of the best weather in San Francisco. Views of downtown San Francisco from the neighborhood's higher points are exceptional. Comprised mostly of single-family homes, the area features tidy front lawns and lovely, landscaped streets, some of which straddle the border between San Francisco and Daly City. Just across Geneva Avenue, the 56-acre Crocker Amazon Park offers a wide variety of sports playing fields. Public transportation is convenient in this diverse neighborhood.
